Brody is the name of the Kodiak bear that has been the live mascot for Berne Apparel for over a decade. Brody has been making annual appearances at events for Berne Apparel such as the Mills Fleet Farm Sports and Outdoors Show at Lambaeu Field. You won't find his trainer and friend, Jeff Watson, wearing anything but Berne Apparel while working with Brody.

Brody, a Kodiak brown bear, was born in captivity on January 14, 1995 at the Olympic Game Farm. Kodiak bears are a unique subspecies of the brown bear (Ursus arctos middendorffi). They live exclusively on the islands in the Kodiak Archipelago and have been isolated from other bears for about 12,000 years. The Kodiak brown bear is the largest brown bear in the world. Males can grow to be up to 10 feet tall and weigh 1,500 pounds. Brody's last official weight was 1,200 pounds, but he is currently estimated to weight 1,300 - 1,400 pounds (it's a bit of a challenge to weigh a bear!).

Brody made his first television appearance as a three month old cub on ABC's Good Morning America. This appearance was quickly followed by NBC's Today show and Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
